Bookings
Online bookings are now available

Follow-up appointments are booked directly through the online booking portal. A $130 deposit is required to secure your booking and reserve the time exclusively for you.
You can access online bookings by logging into your patient portal here, or by clicking the Book Online button at the top of the page.

Appointment length

Starting January 1, 2026, all follow-up consultations will be scheduled for 60 minutes. You will only be charged for the time you actually use, regardless of whether you use the entire hour or just part of it. Please note that any additional time spent on documents not included in the consultation will incur extra fees.
On my fee schedule page, you'll find the consultation fee schedule, fee inclusions, and guidance on what can typically be achieved within each fee tier.

Why 60 minutes?

My new 60-minute consultation aligns with my average telehealth call duration, which usually runs 45 to 60 minutes. Currently, most appointments are scheduled and charged as 15-30-minute consultations, which does not adequately reflect the time and attention each session requires.
Given my increasing operational costs and the need to reduce my daily appointment capacity to minimise the impact of sessions running over time, this change has been essential.
This adjustment will help ensure that appointments start and end on time while supporting the sustainability of my practice.

Payments
Electronic payments

All consultations are billed through Halaxy, a secure medical record platform that automatically manages payments and Medicare rebates. We require a valid card to be securely stored on file for all bookings to ensure payments are processed efficiently. Card details are encrypted and never visible to the practice. You can update or remove your card at any time through your patient portal. If you’re unable to store a card on file, you'll need to prepay the 60-minute consultation fee at the time of booking.

Payment process

A $130 deposit is required to secure your online booking for all follow-up consultations. The total consultation fee is determined after your appointment based on the length of the telehealth call. Document fees apply for additional documents completed afterwards.

Your deposit is credited toward your fee, and the remaining balance is due the same day. You will receive a message to approve payment using the card details stored on file, and prescriptions and documents will be released following payment.

If payment is not received the same day, future appointments will require prepayment of the full fee.
Medicare
Eligibility

We will submit your Medicare claim on your behalf once your payment has been received in full. To be eligible for a Medicare rebate for your appointment, you must:
-
Hold a valid Medicare card
-
Have a current & valid referral from a doctor or nurse practitioner dated on or before the appointment day
-
Be located in Australia at the time of the consultation

What isn't covered by Medicare

-
Consultations when the patient is overseas or admitted to a hospital
-
Fees for tasks completed between or after consultations, such as prescriptions and documents
-
Late cancellation and non-attendance fees
-
Consultations where liability for the condition has been accepted by an insurer or compensation agency (e.g. worker's compensation, injury claims and other medicolegal matters)
-
Assessments or reports related to life insurance, superannuation or pre-employment screening

Medicare Safety Net

The Medicare safety net helps to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for outpatient medical services by paying a higher rebate once you reach the threshold. This higher rebate then applies for the remainder of that calendar year (January to December 2026, for example).

Only 'verified payments' count towards the safety net threshold. Verified payments are those occasions in which you pay for your medical service in full before making a Medicare claim. Bulk billed services are not eligible.

If you have a spouse and/or children, it is strongly advised to register as a family, as the threshold applies to the whole family as it does to an individual. Doing this allows families to reach the safety-net threshold earlier, since the threshold is the same for an entire family as for an individual.

Click here for further information about the Medicare Safety Net via the Services Australia website.

Cancellation policy
Unable to attend?
If anything unexpected comes up, you can cancel or reschedule your appointment through your patient portal, as long as you do so at least 7 days before your appointment. If you're having trouble logging in, you can also cancel your appointment using the link found in your booking confirmation email.

Late cancellation fees apply

My cancellation policy is designed to protect both your time and mine, ensuring fairness for all patients. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 7 days' notice, the deposit will be forfeited. For more information about fees for late cancellations and no-shows, please refer to the fees page.

After a late cancellation or no-show

Your access to appointments, services and online bookings will be reinstated once all outstanding fees are paid in full. To ensure fair access to appointments, future bookings may require prepayment of the full fee.

Private billing
Private fees apply

All appointments are privately billed, and payment is required on the day of the appointment. Operating as a private billing practice allows me to offer unhurried, high-quality appointments and the time needed to address each person’s care thoroughly and thoughtfully.
I’m not able to offer bulk billing, which involves accepting the Medicare rebate as full payment for the service, as the rebate covers only a small fraction of the time and resources required to provide comprehensive care.

If you have a valid health care card or a pensioner concession card, I can offer concession fees (25% discount) for a maximum of 3 appointments per year. Full fees apply thereafter. A colour photocopy or photo of your card is required to access this discount.
